7/8in scale Models, Jim Russell

Jim Russell is our first honoured guest on our site. Here is a couple of his models in 78n18 scale.

Mine Trolley

The GE Mine Trolley is scratch built using brass for the chassis and styrene/brass for the superstructure. The motor/gearbox is scavenged from an old Bachmann Porter and required machine work to adapt the spur gear to the Sierra Valley wheel set. Track power is through push pin electric pick ups and the overhead trolley.
